Ryan Yingst Solo

As a solo performer Ryan plays his live sets from a mix of covers and original material. He performs as both a solo act and with a mix of talented backing musicians. His recorded video projects feature songs from his set as well as an early recording of a song entitled ‘Don’t Go (So Easily)’ from his upcoming album. Many of Ryan’s audio projects come from recordings made at Duquesne University while he was a student. Ryan also creates electronic/instrumental music featured below.

Audio Projects

Eternity (Brachtopus)

Ryan’s guitar playing was featured on the album ‘Mothership’ by Brachtopus released in 2019.  The song was a development of a late night collaboration between Ryan, initial writer Austin Ostiguy, and producer/percussionist Travis Butler.

While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Beatles Cover)

This project was recorded in Duquesne University’s studio in 2014. This arrangement of the George Harrison song was produced and engineered by Ryan Yingst.

Vocals – Annie Hagertwin

Guitar – Ryan Yingst

Drums – Jake Leya

Double Bass – John Shank

Your New Beloved (Lovelife Cover)

This project was recorded in Ryan’s home studio in Hershey PA over the summer of 2014. The arrangement was produced and engineered by Ryan Yingst in an effort to replace the electronic tracks in the original song with acoustic sound sources. One example of this in the piece is the repeated low tom rhythm, which has been created in this arrangement by hand-drumming a coffee table and using pitch and equalization adjustment.

Vocals – Aleah Watson

Trombone – Ryan Smith

French Horn/bongo cajone – Aaron Blakely

Guitar/bass/keyboard/coffee table – Ryan Yingst

Once I Was (Tim Buckley Cover)

Guitar/vox – Ryan Yingst
